Causes

Pretensioner squib circuit open
Short circuit in wiring harness
Squib malfunction
Problems with the SRS control unit
Contact corrosion
Previous work with the SRS system without resetting errors

How to Fix

Carry out diagnostics using the SRS scanner
Check the integrity of the wiring harness and contacts
Measure the resistance of the squib (should be ~2-4 Ohms)
Check SRS fuses
If necessary, replace the pretensioner or repair the harness
Reset SRS errors after repair
