Symptoms

Temperature control for the left side of the cabin does not work
Flap jammed in one position
Air temperature jumps on the left side
It gets hot/blowing cold only on one side
Error indication on the climate control display

Causes

Oxidation of damper connector contacts
Open circuit or short circuit in the wiring harness
Jamming of the damper mechanism
Damper position sensor malfunction
Malfunctions of the climate control control unit

How to Fix

Read damper operating parameters through a scanner (signal level, resistance)
Check the integrity of the wiring harness to the damper
Clean the connector contacts from oxides
Manually check the smooth movement of the damper
Replace a faulty damper or position sensor
Flash/replace the control unit (as a last resort)
