Symptoms

• SRS indicator is on
• The passive safety system does not pass self-diagnosis
• False airbag deployments (rare)

Causes

• Open or shorted wiring harness
• Oxidation of module contacts
• Internal fault Diagnosis Sensor Unit
• Module power problems
• Software failure

How to Fix

1. Check the condition of the wiring harness and contacts
2. Check power supply to 843mass module
3. Scan the system for other fault codes
4. Replace Diagnosis Sensor Unit if necessary
5. Software flashing of the module (if required)
