Symptoms

• The SRS/airbag indicator on the dashboard is on
• The passive restraint system is not activated during the test
• Errors in the SRS unit memory

Causes

• Malfunction of the sensor diagnostic unit
• Damage to the SRS wiring harness
• Corrosion or poor contact in connectors
• Problems with module power supply (blown fuse)
• SRS control unit software error

How to Fix

1. Read all SRS fault codes
2. Check the condition of the wiring harness and connectors
3. Check fuses related to the SRS system
4. Test the sensor diagnostic unit
