Symptoms
- The SRS indicator on the dashboard is on

- The error is stored in the memory of the control unit
Causes
- Open or short circuit in wiring harness
- Pretensioner squib malfunction
- Damage to connector contacts
- Problems with the SRS control unit
- Corrosion of chain elements
How to Fix
- Diagnose the SRS system with a scanner
- Check the integrity of the wiring harness to the pretensioner
- Measure the resistance of the squib (should be 2-4 Ohms)
- Inspect connectors for oxidation
- If necessary, replace the pretensioner or wiring harness.
- Reset SRS memory errors
