Symptoms
- The right front window rolls down spontaneously
- Glass does not respond to control buttons
- The malfunction indicator on the dashboard is on
- The window lift only works in one direction
- The error code is always present
Causes
- Sticky window switch contact
- Short circuit in door wiring harness
- Moisture in the switch or connector
- Damage to the wiring in the corrugation of the doorway
- Malfunction of the power window control module
How to Fix
- Read error codes and record conditions for occurrence
- Check the power window switch for stuck contact.
- Inspect the wiring harness in the corrugation of the right front door
- Measure the voltage on the signal wire of the switch (it should be 5V or 12V when the button is released)
- Replace the switch or window control unit
- Reset codes and check power window operation
