Symptoms

• Warning about overheating of the corresponding system
• Reducing pump power or switching to emergency mode
• The corresponding fault indicator lights up
• Unstable operation of the steering or brake system
• Error code persists after reset

Causes

• Broken wire in the temperature sensor circuit
• Short circuit in the sensor circuit
• Oxidation of the sensor connector
• Malfunction of the temperature sensor itself
• Pump control module malfunction

How to Fix

1. Read error codes and determine the system to which the pump belongs
2. Inspect the temperature sensor connector for oxidation and damage.
3. Measure the resistance of the sensor at a known temperature (check with the characteristic)
4. Check the supply voltage and integrity of the sensor ground
5. Replace the temperature sensor if the fault is confirmed
6. Reset codes and check system operation
