Symptoms
- TPMS light stays on or flashes
- TPMS light does not come on when pressure is low
- The system does not show the pressure in one or more tires
- Unable to reset TPMS warning
- Error code persists after reset
Causes
- Malfunction of the pressure sensor in one of the wheels
- Low battery in TPMS sensor (lifespan 5-7 years)
- TPMS module malfunction
- Mismatch of saved sensor IDs (after replacing wheels)
- TPMS indicator lamp circuit malfunction
How to Fix
- Check the pressure in all tires manually with a pressure gauge.
- Read TPMS module error codes and sensor data
- Determine which sensor is not transmitting data
- Check the sensor battery (if it is more than 5 years old, replace it)
- Rebind TPMS sensors after replacing or rotating wheels
- Replace faulty TPMS sensor or module
