Symptoms

• The ABS indicator on the dashboard is on
• Disabling the ABS system
• Activation of the ESP system (in some cases)
• Uneven braking

Causes

• Malfunction of the rear left wheel speed sensor
• Open or short circuit in the sensor wiring harness
• Sensor is dirty or damaged
• Problems with the ring gear on the wheel hub
• ABS control unit malfunction

How to Fix

1. Check the condition of the rear left wheel speed sensor
2. Inspect the wiring harness for damage
3. Clean the sensor from dirt
4. Check the ring gear on the wheel hub
5. Replace sensor if necessary
6. Check the operation of the ABS system after repair
