Symptoms

• The ABS indicator on the dashboard is on
• ABS system does not work
• Related systems disabled (ESP, ASR)
• Incorrect readings from other sensors

Causes

• Broken or damaged CAN bus wiring harness
• Corrosion of contacts in connectors
• ABS module malfunction
• ABS module power problems
• ABS module software failure

How to Fix

1. Check the integrity of the CAN bus wiring harness
2. Inspect the connectors of the ABS module and other associated ECUs for corrosion or damage.
3. Check the power and ground of the ABS module
4. Diagnose the ABS module using a scanner
5. If necessary, reflash the ABS module
6. Replace the ABS module if it is faulty
