Symptoms

• The ABS indicator on the dashboard is on
• ABS system may not work
• Possible problems with the stabilization system (ESP)

Causes

• Faulty left front wheel speed sensor
• Open or short circuit in sensor wiring
• The magnetic ring on the hub is dirty or damaged
• Poor contact in the sensor connector
• ABS control unit malfunction

How to Fix

1. Check the integrity of the sensor wiring
2. Check the sensor connector for corrosion or damage.
3. Clean or replace the magnetic ring on the hub
4. Check the resistance of the wheel speed sensor
5. Replace the wheel speed sensor if necessary
