Causes

Broken wiring to the left electric parking brake
High contact resistance (oxidation, corrosion)
Left EPB motor malfunction
Mechanical jamming of the drive
Parking brake control unit malfunction

How to Fix

Read error codes with an EPB-enabled scanner
Check the voltage at the left electric drive connector when the parking brake is activated.
Measure the motor winding resistance
Inspect the entire length of the wiring for damage and chafing.
Check and clean the connector contacts
Replace the electric drive or restore the wiring
Perform EPB calibration after repair
