Causes

  • Open or short circuit in wiring harness
  • Axle cut-off solenoid valve malfunction
  • Problems with the 4WD control unit
  • Corrosion of contacts in system connectors
  • Mechanical wear of the front axle fork

How to Fix

  1. Check the integrity of the system wiring harness and connectors
  2. Ring the front axle shutdown control circuit
  3. Check the resistance of the axle release solenoid
  4. Read data from the 4WD control unit when trying to switch modes
  5. If necessary, replace damaged components (solenoid, power plug, wiring harness)
