Causes

• Faulty VVT solenoid bank 2

• Mechanical wear of the camshaft

How to Fix

1. Connect a diagnostic scanner and read all error codes
2. Check the level and condition of the engine oil, replace if necessary
3. Inspect the VVT solenoid wiring and connectors for damage.
4. Check the resistance of the VVT solenoid with a multimeter (usually 6-12 ohms)
5. Measure the supply voltage at the solenoid connector with the engine running.
6. Remove and clean the VVT solenoid from dirt and deposits
7. Check solenoid operation using diagnostic equipment
8. If necessary, replace the faulty VVT solenoid
9. Clear error codes and test drive to see if the problem is resolved
