Causes

How to Fix

1. Connect a diagnostic scanner and read all error codes
2. Check the level and quality of the engine oil, replace if necessary
3. Visually inspect the solenoid wiring for damage.
4. Measure the solenoid resistance with a multimeter (should be within specification)
5. Check the supply voltage at the solenoid connector with the engine running.
6. Remove and clean the solenoid from dirt and deposits
7. Check solenoid operation using diagnostic equipment
8. If necessary, replace the faulty solenoid
9. Clear error codes and test drive to see if the problem is resolved
