Causes
- Short circuit of the bypass valve control wire to power (+12V)
- Boost pressure control solenoid valve internal failure
- Damage to the connector or wiring in the turbocharger area (high temperatures)
- Mechanical jamming of the bypass valve
- Engine ECU malfunction
How to Fix
- Read codes and real-time boost pressure data
- Inspect control valve wiring and connector - pay particular attention to thermal insulation damage
- Disconnect the valve connector and measure the voltage on the signal wire (should not be 12V at rest)
- Measure the resistance of the valve winding (the norm is usually 20–30 Ohms)
- Check the mechanical movement of the bypass valve and its pneumatic actuator
- If the wiring is correct, replace the boost pressure control valve (wastegate solenoid)
