Causes

• MAP sensor malfunction

How to Fix

1. Connect a diagnostic scanner and read all error codes
2. Visually check the condition of the vacuum hoses of the MAP sensor
3. Check the electrical connections of the sensor for corrosion or damage.
4. Measure the supply voltage at the sensor (should be about 5V)
5. Check the resistance in the sensor circuit
6. Replace MAP sensor if necessary
7. Check the intake manifold for air leaks
8. Clean or replace the air filter
9. Clear error codes and take a test drive
