Symptoms

• Incorrect temperature readings on the dashboard

Causes

• Malfunction of coolant temperature sensor No. 3
• Open or short circuit in wiring harness
• Poor contact in the sensor connector
• Problems with the ECU
• Low coolant level

How to Fix

1. Check the level and condition of the coolant
2. Visually inspect the sensor and its connector for damage.
3. Check sensor resistance at different temperatures
4. Check the integrity of the wiring harness and contacts
5. Replace sensor if necessary
6. Clear the error code and check if it returns
