Symptoms

• Misfire in cylinder 8

Causes

• Open or short circuit in the wiring harness of the cylinder 8 injector
• Fuel injector malfunction
• Poor contact in the injector connector
• Problems with the engine ECU
• Short circuit to ground or power
• Mechanical damage to the wiring harness

How to Fix

1. Visually inspect the wiring harness and injector connector for damage.
2. Check the injector resistance (usually 2-5 ohms)
3. Check the voltage at the injector connector (should be 12V when the ignition is on)
4. Test the injector circuit for open circuit and short circuit using a multimeter
5. Check the operation of the injector on the stand
6. If necessary, replace the injector or repair the wiring harness
