Symptoms

• Jerking when pressing the gas pedal
• Fluctuations in idle speed
• Engine transition to emergency mode
• Power Loss
• Check Engine light comes on

Causes

• Poor contact in the sensor connector
• Broken or damaged wires
• Throttle Position Sensor Malfunction
• Short circuit in the circuit
• Problems with the engine control unit (ECU)

How to Fix

1. Check the condition of the sensor connector
2. Inspect the wiring harness for damage
3. Check the resistance and signal of the throttle position sensor
4. Replace sensor if necessary
5. Clear error memory and check if error is returned
