Symptoms

Causes

• Faulty or clogged injector of the 3rd cylinder
• Open or short circuit in the injector circuit wiring
• Oxidation or damage to the injector connector
• Low fuel pressure in the rail
• ECU malfunction (rare)

How to Fix

1. Read all error codes, record parameters using a scanner
2. Check the injector connector of the 3rd cylinder for oxidation and connection reliability
3. Measure the resistance of the injector winding (norm: 10–18 Ohms for most cars)
4. Check the wiring from the computer to the injector for open circuit and short circuit.
5. Wash the nozzle on the stand or replace it if necessary
6. Check the fuel pressure in the rail
