Causes
- Faulty (burnt out) glow plug in group B
- Broken power supply wire for spark plug circuit B
- Blown glow plug circuit fuse
- Malfunction of the relay or spark plug control unit
- Oxidation of contacts in the connectors of circuit B
How to Fix
- Read codes, determine which cylinders are in group B
- Check the glow plug circuit fuse (usually a powerful one: 50–80A)
- Measure the resistance of each glow plug in group B (standard: 0.5-2 ohms)
- Check the supply voltage at the connector of each spark plug when cranking with the starter.
- Inspect the wiring for breaks or burns
- Replace faulty glow plugs
