Symptoms

• Unstable engine operation
• Increased fuel consumption
• Check Engine light comes on
• Reduced engine power
• The engine goes into emergency mode

Causes

• Broken or damaged wiring harness
• Camshaft position sensor malfunction
• Oxidized or damaged connectors
• Circuit Grounding Problems
• Malfunction of the engine control unit (rare)

How to Fix

1. Check the integrity of the wiring harness and connectors
2. Check the resistance and signal of the camshaft position sensor
3. Clean or replace connectors if necessary
4. Replace the camshaft position sensor if it is faulty
5. Check and restore circuit grounding
