Causes

Damage to the wiring harness to the purge valve
Short circuit in the purge valve itself
Engine control unit malfunction
Corrosion of electrical contacts
Open or short to ground in the control circuit

How to Fix

Check the condition of the wiring harness to the purge valve for damage.
Check the resistance of the purge valve (should be within 20-30 Ohms)
Check power supply and control signal to the valve
If necessary, replace the purge valve or repair the wiring harness
Clear error codes and check if the error appears again
