Symptoms

• Unstable engine operation at idle
• Reduced engine power
• Increased fuel consumption

Causes

• Open or short circuit in wiring harness
• EGR control solenoid malfunction
• Problems with the EGR throttle valve (stuck, dirty)
• Poor contact in connectors
• Engine control unit (ECU) malfunction

How to Fix

1. Check the integrity of the EGR control circuit wiring harness
2. Check resistance and operation of control solenoid
3. Clean or replace EGR throttle body
4. Check contacts in connectors, clean from corrosion if necessary
5. Check control circuit power supply
6. If necessary, replace faulty components
