Symptoms

Causes

  • Pressure control valve position sensor malfunction
  • Open or short circuit in wiring harness
  • Poor connection or corroded contacts
  • Mechanical damage or valve jamming
  • Engine control unit (ECU) malfunction

How to Fix

  1. Check the condition of the sensor wiring harness and connections
  2. Check the resistance and signal of the position sensor
  3. Check the mechanical operation of the valve (free movement, absence of jamming)
  4. Clean or replace pressure control valve if necessary
  5. Replace the position sensor if it is faulty
  6. Reset the error and check if it returns
