Symptoms

Causes

  • Unauthorized ECU flashing (chip tuning)
  • Failed or incomplete official firmware update
  • Installing an ECU from another car (VIN mismatch)
  • Damage to the ECU flash memory
  • Attempt to hack or bypass ECU protection

How to Fix

  2. Install official software through dealer reprogramming system
  3. If the ECU has been replaced, make sure it is compatible and perform the binding procedure (VIN, immobilizer)
  4. Check the integrity of the ECU flash memory
