Symptoms

  • Check Engine Light Is On
  • Multiple simultaneous sensor error codes
  • Unstable engine operation or emergency mode
  • Incorrect or zero readings from group B sensors
  • Difficulty starting or stopping the engine

Causes

  • Broken power supply wire for group B sensors
  • Blown Group B power fuse
  • Short circuit with subsequent activation of the ECU protection
  • Oxidation or poor contact in the ECU connector
  • Malfunction of the internal sensor power supply in the ECU

How to Fix

  1. Read all error codes, identify group B sensors according to the car diagram
  2. Check the power supply fuse for group B sensors
  3. Measure the voltage on the power line with the ignition on
  4. Check the wires from the ECU to the group B sensors for a break
  5. Repair the break, replace the fuse or faulty sensor
  6. Reset error codes and check for restoration of normal operation
