Causes
- Internal malfunction of the ECU power stabilizer
- Connecting the C wire to the higher voltage wire
- Damaged insulation in the wiring harness
- Poor quality wiring repair with incorrect connection
- Generator voltage regulator malfunction causing network overvoltage
How to Fix
- Measure the actual voltage at the power terminal of circuit C
- Check the voltage of the on-board network (normal 13.8–14.4 V when the engine is running)
- Inspect the wiring harness for a short between wires on circuit C and adjacent wires.
- Check ECU grounding
- If the wiring is in good condition and the on-board network voltage is normal, diagnose the ECU
- After eliminating the cause, check the serviceability of the sensors in circuit C
