Causes
- Broken wire of the ECU-GPCM2 control line
- Closing the control wire with the power circuit
- Oxidation of GPCM2 connector contacts
- Internal fault GPCM2 (input circuit break)
- Mechanical damage to the wiring harness
How to Fix
- Inspect the wiring harness from the ECU to GPCM2 for breaks and damage
- Check the contacts of the GPCM2 connector for oxidation
- Measure the resistance of the control wire from the ECU to GPCM2 (with the units disconnected)
- Repair the break or restore contact in the connector
- If there is a short circuit to “plus”, find the location of the short circuit and eliminate it
- If there is an internal fault in GPCM2, replace the module

P06F7 (Circuit Low) — замыкание управляющего провода на «массу», напряжение занижено. P06F8 (Circuit High) — обрыв провода или замыкание на «плюс», напряжение завышено. Методы поиска различаются: при P06F7 ищут замыкание, при P06F8 — обрыв.
Как проверить управляющий провод на обрыв?
Отключите ЭБУ и GPCM2. Подключите омметр между соответствующими контактами разъёмов. Нормальное сопротивление провода — менее 1 Ом. Значение «OL» (бесконечность) — обрыв.
Может ли вибрация двигателя вызвать P06F8?
Да. Вибрация приводит к постепенному разрушению изоляции в местах перегиба жгута и к появлению микротрещин в проводнике. Обрыв возникает постепенно, и код сначала может появляться периодически.
