Symptoms

• Delay or abrupt shifting between 2nd and 3rd gear
• The car goes into emergency automatic transmission mode
• Dips during acceleration
• Increased engine speed when switching
• Check Engine light comes on

Causes

• Low transmission fluid level
• Contaminated or old transmission fluid
• Shift solenoids malfunction
• Problems with the valve body (valve body)
• Mechanical damage inside the automatic transmission

How to Fix

1. Check the level and condition of the transmission fluid
2. Replace transmission fluid and filter if necessary
3. Check operation of shift solenoids
4. Diagnose the automatic transmission valve body
5. If necessary, repair or replace the automatic transmission
