Causes
- Open or short circuit in the sensor circuit
- Selector lever position sensor malfunction
- Oxidation or poor contact in connectors
- Mechanical damage to wiring
- Problems with the transmission control unit
How to Fix
- Check the integrity of the sensor wiring and connectors
- Test the selector lever position sensor
- Clean contacts from oxides and corrosion
