Symptoms

  • Incorrect display of gear selector position
  • Problems with switching between gearbox operating modes
  • The gear indicator light may not work properly
  • The car may not start in some selector positions
  • The transmission may go into emergency mode

Causes

  • Open or short circuit in TRCM communication circuit
  • Oxidized or damaged module connectors
  • Malfunction of the transmission range control module itself
  • Problems with the wiring harness between modules
