Symptoms

• Unstable engine operation at idle
• Gear shifting problems
• Check Engine light comes on
• The vehicle may not recognize the clutch pedal being pressed.

Causes

• Faulty clutch pedal sensor
• Open or short circuit in the sensor circuit
• Poor contact in connectors
• Circuit Grounding Problems
• Malfunction of the engine control unit (rare)

How to Fix

1. Check the clutch pedal sensor for damage
2. Inspect the wiring harness and connectors for damage
3. Check continuity of circuit and grounding
4. Replace the clutch pedal sensor if necessary
5. Reset the error code and check if it returns
