Symptoms

  • Switching to emergency mode
  • Unstable operation of the hybrid system

Causes

  • Open or short circuit in the sensor circuit
  • Oxidized or loose connector contacts
  • Mechanical damage to the torque sensor
  • Problems with the wiring harness near the engine
  • Malfunction of the powertrain control module (rare)

How to Fix

  1. Check the integrity of the sensor wiring and connectors
  2. Test the sensor resistance (compare with factory parameters)
  3. Clean the contacts from oxides and ensure a reliable connection
  4. If necessary, replace the torque sensor
