Symptoms

  • Air conditioner does not turn on or does not cool
  • Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) lights up
  • Reduced performance of the climate control system
  • Possible noise from the compressor when trying to turn on

Causes

  • Open or short circuit to ground in the sensor circuit
  • Poor electrical connection or corroded connectors
  • Faulty compressor motor position sensor
  • Internal fault in climate control/hybrid system control module

How to Fix
