Symptoms

• Unstable engine idling
• Increased fuel consumption
• Loss of engine power
• Difficulty starting the engine

Causes

• MAP sensor malfunction
• Open or short circuit in the sensor circuit
• Poor contact in the sensor connector
• ECU malfunction
• Circuit Grounding Problems

How to Fix

1. Check the continuity and voltage in the MAP sensor circuit
2. Inspect the sensor connector for damage or corrosion.
3. Check the functionality of the MAP sensor
4. Replace MAP sensor if necessary
5. Check and, if necessary, replace the computer
