Causes
- MAP sensor malfunction
- Open or short circuit in the sensor circuit
- Poor contact in the sensor connector
- Problems with power or grounding of the circuit
- ECU malfunction (rare)
How to Fix
- Check the integrity of the wiring and connectors of the MAP sensor
- Measure the voltage at the sensor (should be within 4.5-5V with the ignition on)
- Check sensor resistance (compare with factory values)
- Clean or replace MAP sensor if necessary
- Flash or replace the ECU if it malfunctions
