Symptoms

Causes

• Camshaft position sensor malfunction
• Open or short circuit in the sensor circuit
• Poor contact in the sensor connector
• Mechanical damage to the camshaft toothed disc
• Wiring Harness Problems

How to Fix

1. Check the condition of the sensor and its connector
2. Check the integrity of the sensor circuit (resistance, voltage)
3. Clean sensor connector contacts
4. If necessary, replace the camshaft position sensor
5. Check the condition of the toothed disc on the camshaft
