Symptoms

Causes

• Faulty crankshaft position sensor
• Open or short circuit in the sensor circuit
• Poor contact in the sensor connector
• Damage to the crankshaft gear
• Problems with the engine ECU

How to Fix

1. Check the condition of the sensor and its connector
2. Check the sensor circuit for open circuit and short circuit
3. Check the condition of the crankshaft gear
4. Replace the crankshaft position sensor if necessary
5. Check and reflash the ECU if necessary
