Symptoms

• Engine won't start
• The engine stalls immediately after starting
• Check Engine Light Is On
• The immobilizer indicator on the dashboard may flash
• The car may go into emergency mode

Causes

• Immobilizer malfunction
• Damage to the wiring harness between the ECU and the immobilizer
• Problems with the chip in the ignition key
• ECU software failures
• Corrosion of contacts in connectors

How to Fix

1. Check the condition of the ignition key and its chip
2. Check the integrity of the wiring between the ECU and the immobilizer
3. Check the contacts in the connectors for corrosion
4. Try to re-register the keys in the immobilizer system
