Causes

  • Open or short circuit in the EGR valve control circuit
  • Malfunction of the EGR ventilation solenoid valve
  • Wiring harness problems (oxidation, damage)
  • Engine control unit malfunction
  • Poor contact in control circuit connectors

How to Fix

  1. Check the integrity of the EGR valve control circuit
  2. Check the resistance and operation of the solenoid valve
  3. Inspect the wiring harness and connectors for damage.
