Causes
- Open or short circuit in valve wiring
- Faulty shift control solenoid valve
- Poor electrical connection (oxidation, corrosion)
- Low or contaminated transmission fluid
- Transmission control module (TCM) malfunction
How to Fix
- Read fault codes and check current scanner data
- Visually inspect the wiring harness and valve connectors for damage.
- Check the resistance and functionality of the solenoid valve
- If necessary, replace the faulty control valve
- Clear error codes and test drive
