Symptoms

• Incorrect temperature readings on the dashboard

Causes

• Coolant temperature sensor 2 malfunction
• Open or short circuit in the sensor circuit
• Poor contact in the sensor connector
• Low coolant level
• Air locks in the cooling system

How to Fix

1. Check coolant level and repair leaks
2. Check the integrity of the sensor wiring and connectors
3. Check sensor resistance at different temperatures
4. Replace coolant temperature sensor 2 if necessary
5. Remove air pockets from the cooling system
