Symptoms

• Check Engine Light Is On
• Increased NOx emissions
• Reduced efficiency of the exhaust gas cleaning system
• Possible deterioration of engine performance
• Errors in the SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system

Causes

• NOx sensor heater circuit open
• Short circuit in the heater circuit
• NOx sensor malfunction
• Problems with wiring or connectors
• Engine control module (ECU) malfunction

How to Fix

1. Check the continuity of the NOx sensor heater circuit
2. Check sensor heater resistance
3. Inspect wiring and connectors for damage
4. Replace NOx sensor if necessary
5. Check and, if necessary, replace the engine control module
