Mechanical damage or clogging of the exhaust system

How to Fix

Read trouble codes and freeze frame data using a diagnostic scanner
Check the readings and resistance of the bank 2 exhaust gas temperature (EGT) sensors
Visually inspect the wiring harness and sensor connectors for damage.
Check the operation of the injectors and EGR system
If necessary, replace the faulty EGT sensor or repair the wiring
