Causes

• Open circuit in valve control circuit
• Short circuit to positive in the control circuit
• Leak detection pump changeover valve malfunction
• Problems with the engine control unit (ECU)
• Damage to the wiring harness in the EVAP valve area

How to Fix

1. Check the integrity of the wiring harness to the leak detection pump valve
2. Check valve resistance (compare with factory parameters)
3. Check valve control circuit voltage
4. If necessary, replace the leak detection pump changeover valve
5. If problems are detected with the engine control unit, reflash or replace the ECU
