Symptoms

• Low coolant level indicator is on
• Incorrect coolant level readings on the dashboard
• Check Engine Light Is On
• Possible false signals about engine overheating

Causes

• Coolant level sensor malfunction
• Open or short circuit in the sensor circuit
• Poor contact in the sensor connector
• Low coolant level in the system
• Problems with the engine ECU

How to Fix

1. Check the coolant level and add if necessary
2. Inspect the wiring and connectors of the sensor for damage
3. Check the resistance of the coolant level sensor
4. If necessary, replace the coolant level sensor
5. Check the continuity of the circuit from the sensor to the ECU
