Symptoms

Causes

  • Open or short circuit in the camshaft sensor circuit
  • Poor contact in the sensor connector
  • Camshaft position sensor malfunction
  • Wiring Harness Problems
  • Malfunction of the engine control unit (rare)

How to Fix

  1. Check the integrity of the sensor wiring and connectors
  2. Check the resistance and signal of the camshaft position sensor
  3. If necessary, replace the camshaft position sensor
  4. Check and, if necessary, replace damaged wires
  5. Reset the error code and check if it returns
