Symptoms

• Check Engine light comes on

Causes

• Open or short circuit in the actuator control circuit
• Malfunction of the rocker arm actuator solenoid valve
• Wiring Harness Problems
• Engine control unit malfunction
• Mechanical failure of the rocker arm actuator

How to Fix

1. Check the integrity of the wiring and connectors in the control circuit
2. Check the resistance of the actuator solenoid valve
3. Check the presence of power and control signals from the computer
4. If necessary, replace the solenoid valve or actuator
5. Check and update ECU software if necessary
